PGR - USMC 1st Lt Todd Allen Lorell

- Part 1 San Jose Airport Escort-

Pics are from top to bottom, text for a pic is under the pic, click on it twice to see it full size.

One of our finest had a local bad accident and PGR was asked to provide an honor escort, and an honor it was!  Thanks to family for inviting us to attend.

We had a nice showing for our fallen hero, about 25 scoots, 6 cages (IIRC), and a long line of family and friends.  The police had their work cut out for themselves and they did real fine!  Thank you for the escort!  Always appreciated.

Healing and Comforting Prayers for family and friends during this sad time of passing, please try to remember and focus on the good life lived.  Todd is in God's Loving Arms.

Arrived at our local staging site and got in a pic of most of the scoots there were more on the right side.  It's been a while since I've ridden and I got to talking to old friends.

Buzz got his say-once and off we went to the fire house south of the main terminal.  That is where our fallen hero was arriving.  Our scoots on the right and family cars on the left.

We lined up to honor the family and friends as they rode onto the tarmac to receive Todd.  He was arriving by commercial aircraft from Southern Ca.

More on the left, Rudy managed to hide behind his flag, Rick on his right.

San Jose Police was out in force!  They were  going to do the entire escort to  Palo Alto Alta Mesa Memorial Services Chapel.

I think we had enough, we were well lit up during the escort and all were safe, and that is the most important thing, no one gets hurt!

Rick, fellow ALR (American Legion Rider), District 28, I'm District 13.

We're lined up to ride after the family receives the casket.

Nice safe ride, a bit busy, but safe!  Getting parked to form an honor line for the procession into the Chapel.

                                             - Part 2 -

Thursday 8/9  Final services.  May the Good Lord comfort those left behind.  It was a well attended service, Not only SRO, but many more outside and in the lobby.

Slick John arrived first, parked in front.  Chatting with Cajun.

Doug arrived and so did a couple more,   I didn't do a scoot/cage count, guess at 5 and 5.  The entire mission was to be here with no movement or escort, so scoots weren't needed.

Rudy showed up with his flags.  He had already placed 10 flags at the service site.  Your support is greatly appreciated!  Thank you for what you do!

After much discussion with the Honor Guard, they decided it would be best if we all just received the service at the committal site.   Rudy's flags and Buzz's son.  He had a flag as was real proud of it!  Great on Ya Johny!

The Honor Guard preceded the procession, and they wisely took a shaded position while waiting.  It was warm and at times no breeze at all!  Unusual.

Our flag line waiting...    Many thanks again for the family allowing us the honor of attending.
