Eagles Up Recycled Rides US MARINE Sgt Brando Delflorentino & welcome home US ARMY Col. Bob Benjamin

Pics are from top to bottom, click on a pic for a larger pic, text for a pic is under the pic.

The longest mission title ever!  GBG  And it was a very good one, fun and got to see good folks having a great time.

Many folks teamed to help Sterling Auto Body prepare and give a car to a well deserved Vet!

We staged at our normal place in SJ by the airport to split into two groups.  One to ride with CJ from Sterling to the airport and Buzz took the rest to retrieve our hero for the cerceremony.  CJ led us on a scoot that Bob was going to ride to the auto shop, followed by his wife in a cage.   But back to the beginning at our staging....

I'm out of storage... plan B... sigh....

PGR - Salinas Veteran's Day Parade '12

A link to Cliff's facebook post, there is an advantage to 4 wheels!  GBG
Cliff's Pics

Salinas had it's 2cd annual Vet Day Parade and PGR was invited, and it was an honor to attend.  The parade was well attended by those that participated and the folks that lined the streets.  Great time had by all!

It was interesting that PGR had a spot, ALR Dist 28 also, and the Blue Knights were there too!  A whole lot of scoots!  The crowd did not seem to mind!

A portion of the large parking lot filled with entries.  PGR was on the left.  ALR Dist 28 was to the right.   Blue Knights were further down to the right.  We had a great staging spot and being in Group 3, we got to see a lot of the parade go past.

Looking down our line before Mark Z and the San Jose group showed up.  I really did not expect them as I didn't see time wise how they could make it, but they did with plenty of time!   My best guess would be 40 scoots and Cliff and Squeezer's flags.

IIRC, it was one of the Plymouth funny cars made a few years ago, looked real clean!

Dist 28 ALR to our right.

My sweet Ruby and Cliff/Squeezer's van.

Stolen shamelessly from Cliff!  I don't get on the other side of the camera often...

Another look at our line with sweet Ruby in front and this was before Mark Z arrived.

Took this for my son Mike who is in Afg right now,  God Bless 'um all!!!

More marching folks.

Our parade guy was trying his best to keep control but the size of the parade was intimidating.

And we're off!  Like I said, we had a vantage point!

Marine entry.

An unusual taxi!

Now here it gets interesting...  our RC was on the right, Boats.  I knew him a long time ago and he moved up to Or. for a job.  Well, when I saw that name, don't know any other Boats so had to go say Hi!   Nice flags in front and Mark Z on the left.

Notice front and Boats did not have helmets on?  Well.... SOMEONE, decided helmets would not be needed, and for many reasons... but....

Shortly after this a motorcycle cop was working down the line telling folks to put your helmets on!!!  The group in front started slapping their heads at us, and Boats gave the "helmets on yell!"  I had mine on, no big deal.  But the parade got all the motorcycles busted!  GBG  He coulda made his quota for the month!

Better pic of Mark Z and notice helmets ON!

It was a great parade, very well attended and a beautiful day!  Thanks to all that rode!!!   After the last pic, life got busy so no more.   Maybe Cliff got a few... stay tuned!
